Ariel and Brandon's Wedding Weekend
We started the weekend off early by arriving in Seattle on Wednesday evening. Erin's husband, Jeff, came and picked us up from the airport...so nice of him! We went to their CUTE house in north Seattle and Erin had fixed us a FABULOUS meal! She made pork, homemade applesauce, squash/potatoes...it was soo good!
Then Nicole was able to come down and meet up with us. It was just a couple of days before her birthday so Erin made some pumpkin cheesecake and we sang happy birthday to her! So fun, and super yummy.
The next morning Kenny had to work on his homework all day!! His teacher gave him a really hard assignment that was due by that next day.
We left him at Erin's to work on that and went to the Zoo with Zoie, Noelle, Clark, Mom, and Dad. It was so much fun!! Although it was so wet, it was raining like crazy. It was wet and chilly, but we still had a great time seeing the animals.
Zoie had fun looking at the little penguins.
I know I will have a lot of pictures of lil' Zoie in this post...she's just so cute! She loved looking at all of the animals!
Here's a cute one with Daddy.
And a nice little family picture
And here's all of us at the zoo. What a fun time, even though we were all soaked
Zoie's favorite thing to see were the Flamingos. She loved them and was so excited to see them. I taught her how to stand like a flamingo =)
We had such a great time!
Then we took the ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge so we could go to Port Townsend.
It was a really nice ferry ride, kind of chilly but as you can see the city lights behind us were just beautiful!
The boys and the girls
Once we were in Pt Townsend, we went to this fabulous French bakery. I found these yummy lemon ricotta cookies...they were sooo good! They had lemon frosting...yum! We also had really good soup and all sorts of other fun things.
Here we all are! It was so nice that Barb and her family were able to come. We all had such a nice time together.
And here are just the sisters. I LOVE them so much, they are such a big part of my life even though we are scattered over the western half of the U.S., I still feel we are close and love them with all of my hearts.
We had a lovely BBQ on the beach down the road from where we stayed.
We decided to take a family picture down on the beach.
And here is with all of us
Just down the beach from our BBQ was a beautiful lighthouse. We enjoyed taking morning runs down there.
We went down to the beach by the lighthouse to watch the sunset, it was beautiful...this picture doesn't quite catch the beauty.
That evening Zoie asked for a bath...she just loves them. She had such a great time.
I had a fun time too, I can't believe how much she loves having baths.
Then Zoie read books with Uncle Kenny...it was such a cute book.
We got to steal a look at the bride as she was getting ready...how beautiful.
Beau was pulling off some sort of 50's look:)
Isn't she gorgeous??
And the flower girl...
They look so great together! Their ceremony was at a park with the water in the background. It was such a beautiful setting. It had been kind of rainy out, but that day there was not a cloud in the sky!
My parents and the bride and groom...
And...our lovely
After that Kenny and I took a couple of pics
And a kissy pic
During the reception we had a great time. The food was fabulous. Dad gave Ariel and Brandon a beautiful toast...it was really sweet.
And the cake was just amazing. It was flourless...so dense and rich. It was just lovely!
Dad and Indy were passing back and forth Bud-the-Fud stories...they were hilarious!!
The next day we tried to go to that french bakery again, but it was closed:( So we settled for ice cream which was yummy...Zoie especially liked it. I like her technique of eating...
Then she had blue bubblegum...she ate so much she eventually threw up, although I think she enjoyed the eating part!
We walked around downtown and them went to the docks and walked around. They had a lot of wooden boats that were really cool.
On our walk, Zoie had a lot of fun, you can see it in her face.
Here we are in front of the house we rented for the weekend.
Then we went to the park and played with Zoie.
Mom and Dad had to leave to catch the ferry.
Then we went back downtown and Zoie had fun smelling flowers with Auntie Paige
Zoie was sooo excited to see the ferry. She watched as they docked and the people came off. Then she ran down the aisle to the ferry and watched as Noelle, Clark, and Kenny drove on.
And then we tried over and over and over again to get a picture of her smiling and here it is!
We had such a fun weekend, it all ended too soon, but it was so wonderful and so fun to be together and see Ariel and Brandon's marriage!
