In August we took a Saturday and hiked up to Silver Lake. It was kind of odd because near the trailhead there were people target practicing. We thought...Goodness, we're out here in nature and have to listen to that??? By the time we hiked up a bit, we couldn't hear it anymore. It was a beautiful hike. The lake was nice at the top, a couple of people brought fishi
ng poles. Then we looked to our right and there were tons of scouts that had camped out and were making tons of noise and ruckus. Then we started hearing shots up at the lake, like someone was shooting up there!! We were so disgusted by all of the noise and lack and serenity that we almost don't want to come again. Although we decided if we come again, we'll not go on a Saturday!!
After the hike we went to one of our favorite Greek restaurants!
