San Francisco!

Right after Erin's wedding we headed to San Francisco for a family reunion on Kenny's side of the family. We spent about 2.5 days there and packed in a TON of sight seeing!

We started out going to Alcatraz. It was a pretty cool experience.

Then we spent a lot of time on Fisherman's Wharf. The girls enjoyed shopping...so fun to do!

The weather was cool, more than we expected for May, but it was still very beautiful. I especially love being around the ocean. I love the smells and the light spray that is in the air. My hair was all over the place, so I mostly left it up in a hat. It has gotten used to the Utah dry air and doesn't know quite what to do when there is humidity in the air!

We were told to visit an amazing Italian
restaurant...it was AMAZING!! I had a
great pesto tortellini dish that was to die for!
I was apprehensive as I was ruining my
diet...but it was worth every bite!

We also visited the infamous street trolley's, it was so much fun to ride up and down the street on them! Then we got off of it to do some shopping! We looked at swimsuits for our exciting up and coming trip to...Cancun!

We also had a fabulous time visiting Ghiradelli Square...oh my goodness! I'm not sure how anyone who works there stays in shape...the sundae's were amazing!!

The chocolate was so yummy, we all split a few of them. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I also got a yummy dark hot chocolate...I LOVE dark chocolate!!

I have been making it a point since to buy Ghiradelli chocolate chips for my baking needs, semi-sweet, milk, white, etc.

What happened next? We visited the piers. There were a lot of expensive shops on it, but it was fun to poke around and see the sights. We saw many hobos and others doing tricks for money. One even admitted he wanted money to buy alcohol! Ummm...no thanks!

Stacy and I found this store that had these awesome backpacks! I love how R2-D2 looks like he matches what she is wearing! Yoda appears to be hanging on for dear life!

We saw a ton of seals! They were all over the place by the pier. They were all massive and lazy but it's always fun to see wildlife..even though I have never been fond of them in Alaska as they eat the fish out of our nets. Talk about lazy! It's like a buffet for them up there!

We met up with Kenny's Uncle and family who joined in on the fun a day late. They took us to Forbes Island which is just off the pier and is a man-made island with a small lighthouse on it. The food was delicious! And we had a great view out on the bay.

We ran up the lighthouse and took pictures after dinner. It was windy and foggy again, but really fun and exhilarating!!

We took some fun souvenir pictures with a 'she-pirate'! It was fun, we are always looking for ways to have a good time and do goofy things!!

The next morning we woke up really early and joined
Uncle Dave as he walked across the Golden Gate and back to Fisherman's Warf, needless to say it was a very long walk but it was fun!

We got exercise and saw some neat sights. I'm not posting everything, as I am still getting used to this blogger thingy. It is frustrating me at the moment! Oh well.

So this is proof that we did the walk! We did have to stop at Safeway for a bathroom break!

The hotel we stayed at had awesome breakfasts so I am sure we ate at least what we burned on that walk. The memories are wonderful though!!

We had a fabulous time and I would do it again any day. I really do love it out there! It's a fabulous city with so much diversity!

Thanks Dave and Belinda for making this trip possible and including so much fun into it all!
